Coroshingle Roofing Shingle Tile Strip Installation Guide

1. Preparation
Plan project in advance and ensure you have correct tools for the job. Make sure the roof is in good condition and that it is thick enough to accept 20mm galvanised clout nails. Suitable roofing underlay membrane should be used on roofs with pitch less than 20 degrees

2.Attach Detail Strip to Eaves and Verge
Unroll Detail Strip and form 50mm Eaves drip edge and nail to roof deck at 150mm centres. Detail Strip can be dressed into gutter or nailed at 50mm centres into fasia board. Then lay at the verge and nail at 150mm centres to roof deck at 50mm centres to face of verge.

3. Fixing the Coroshingles
Begin by positioning the base course of Coroshingles at the eaves and work towards the verge. Keep tiles sqaure to eaves and verge at all times. Coroshingles feature interlocking edges to make horizontal alignment easier. Lay into position, staggering alternative courses to form a broken bond pattern, and nail each strip using 20mm large headed clout nails. 5 fixings per shingle strip recommended. Tiles can be trimmed to size using stanley knife. Bond the eaves course tile and Detail Strip using thin bead of bituminous sealant adhesive. Then use hot air gun to bond the otehr tiles onto the lower courses.

4. Fixing Tiles at the Verge
Mark out shingles square to the verge line. Trim using a stanley knife if neccessary and nail into place. Apply bituminous sealant adhesive to then bond the shingles onto the Detail Strip.

5. Attach Detail Strip to Ridge
When shingles are laid and trimmed to ridge line, unroll the Detail Strip and form it centrally over roof ridge. Complete teh fixing of the Deatil Strip by applying a thin bead of bituminous sealant adhesize 25mm from edge of strip and nail in place using 20mm clout nails.
