Continuous Roll Out Rafter Tray 800mm x 6m

The Harcon continuous rafter tray has recently been redesigned in line with roofers’ requests. Typical roll formed rafter trays easily flatten and stretch, reducing the ventilation path. The Harcon continuous rafter tray uniquely solves this problem by incorporating structural profiling which dramatically improves rigidity, so a full 25mm air path is guaranteed down the line of the roof.

As insulation becomes ever thicker, it is increasingly difficult to maintain a clear path to the eaves and locate the tray in the right place. Roof insulation can either slide below the tray and block ventilation, or push against the upper end causing blockage. Use of narrow rafter trays which do not prevent this should be avoided.

Features:
  • Width 800mm - Significantly wider than most roll formed rafter trays
  • 6m length - fast to install
  • Structurally profiled
  • Better rigidty than standard continuos rafter trays
  • Maintains a full 25mm air path down the line of the roof
  • 800mm deep
  • Will cover a 200mm depth of insulation at a minimum 15 degree pitch, 250mm at a minimum 18 degree pitch, 300mm at a minimum 22 degree pitch or 400mm depth of insulation at a minimum 30 degree pitch

Eaves Comb Filler Installation Details

The base of the comb is marked with positions for nailingeither directly onto the fascia board or on top a Harcon Over Fascia Roof Vent if fitted.

Soffit Disc Vent Installation

  1. The first thing you need to do is find your rafters. That done, mark the points halfway between them. These will be the locations of your soffit vents. Mark them with a pencil.
  2. Take your drill and find the proper bits for the particular vents. The hole saw should be smaller than the flanges of the vent, but still big enough to install the vent. Drill the holes on the marks you made earlier.
  3. Now that you have the holes, push the round vents into them. You can use silicone, if you want, to make sure the flanges are holding properly. You can also use the silicone to fill any gaps. Now, screw the vents into the soffit.
